Pacific Trade International has a standing commitment to pursue initiatives that protect the environment. Our signature brand was inspired by the Chesapeake Bay as an irreplaceable and bountiful natural resource. As a company, we are aligned with a culture of environmental awareness.
We are committed to a strategy of adopting sustainable materials, processes and practices that are beneficial to the environment. Continued growth brings a responsibility to the communities and locations that the company serves, particularly a commitment to environmental sustainability.
We have undertaken a number of initiatives that reflect investment in environmental sustainability, notably in the areas of energy efficiency, use of sustainable materials for ingredients and packaging, and re-purposing/recycling materials used in production.
We are committed to the sourcing of raw materials, goods and services with fundamental support of human rights, labor, health and safety, environment, and ethics -- unbounded by specific materials or locations, and develop and/or maintain the capability to identify all materials contained in our products. We expect our suppliers of products that contain conflict minerals (tin, tantalum, gold, and tungsten) to implement supply chain due diligence processes to identify sources of these minerals and support efforts to eradicate the use of conflict minerals which directly or indirectly finance or benefit armed groups in the Democratic Republic of Congo or adjoining countries.
